| BATTERIES |
 |
How does the user know when the batteries are discharged ?
Once the batteries are charged, they have
a life of 4,500 operations, which will be
automatically limited to 6 months' use whatever
the number of daily operations, due to the
self-discharge of the batteries.
PRIVA PARK® itself indicates the
battery status. When they need recharging,
PRIVA PARK® stops twice for 1 second
each time it is operated to indicate to the
user that they should recharge the battery
pack.
PRIVA PARK® will give this signal
for approximately 15 days.
If the batteries are not recharged within
15 days, PRIVA PARK® will automatically
stop mid-way to release the cover. It will
stop operating, in order to protect the batteries.
When the batteries have been recharged, you
will need to go through a system self-teach
procedure again, as described in the operating
and commissioning manual.
Recharging the batteries
- Block the movement of the bar manually in
the mid-way position. Caution: The bar changes
direction the first time its movement is blocked.
It will only stop the second time.
- Remove the cover by sliding it away from
the bar and lifting it.
- Unscrew the connector attaching the electric
cylinder to the battery pack.
- Take out of the battery pack.
- You can detach the gas cylinder and replace
the cover so that you can park your vehicle
in the space while the batteries are being
charged. |
| REMOTE
CONTROL UNIT |
 |
How can you unblock the system if the remote control unit is lost or stolen when the bar is in the raised or lowered position ?
- If the user made a note of the code of his
remote control unit when it was set up, he
can simply obtain a replacement unit and give
it the same code as the original.
- If the user did not make a note of his code,
an unblocking remote control unit is available
which will stop the PRIVA PARK®
in the mid-way position so that the cover
can be released and the battery pack can be
reinitialized with a new remote control code. |
